One of the best things about studying a modern artist like Chuck Close
is that you get to hear from that artist himself. Here is a video from

follows a grid.
Hi Christina, I use video of modern authors and poets for the same reason! Having students see the real person behind the art makes it more accessible and realistic in way that we can't get with Shakespeare of Monet, sadly. Thanks for sharing!
It always helps to inspire young artist when they can relate to a modern figure, and of course I like to add how much $money$ they can make choosing a career in art!
